The writings/articles/scribbles are my collection of what is stumbled or read somewhere on the net (I try to give credit where it is due). Most of the time I forgot where I read something, hopefully this will compile all those in one site and along the way we hope not to compromise or infringe any law.
"In most cases, patients are given these medicines for 1 year". Not true bro, one of the medicines is stopped but you have to continue with the other one (usually aspirin 80 to 100mg, called baby aspirin - the proprietary Cardiprin for example - if tolerated) for lifetime. Why aspirin? Simply because it's much cheaper than clopidogrel. Since aspirin has gastric issues for me, all the cardiologists I consult ask me to be on Plavix (clopidogrel) as long as I live. Scary eh?
I was on Plavix for 2 weeks but i hv discomfort arount my chest.. the cardio Dr Suhaimi (class 83 my batch from Pantai Hosp KL) changed it to Brilintar
