I personally belief that the decision/choice should be left to the consumers. Malaysians are mature enough to decide for themselves what is good/bad for them. Better not to treat the public like a school kid and telling them what is good or bad. It would be much better to use the money received from the advert and use it for Road Safety or even courtesy campaigns.Support for ban on fast food ads (The Star)
SRI AMAN (Sarawak): The Information Ministry is willing to stop fast food advertisements from being aired over Radio Television Malaysia (RTM) stations.Minister Datuk Seri Zainuddin Maidin said it was not a matter of profits, as RTM, being a government body, has a social responsibility. He was commenting on a proposal by Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek for such advertisements to be banned to discourage unhealthy eating habits. Dr Chua described fast foods as “silent killers” and said they were in the same league as liquor and smoking.
The writings/articles/scribbles are my collection of what is stumbled or read somewhere on the net (I try to give credit where it is due). Most of the time I forgot where I read something, hopefully this will compile all those in one site and along the way we hope not to compromise or infringe any law.
