Langkawi Sky Cab 1

Catch a ride on one of the world’s steepest cable car and observe at close range the unique geological formations of the island and the western sea coast. The journey includes the world’s longest free span for a single rope cable car at 950 metres

The Base Station is conveniently located on foothill of the Machincang mountain. From here, visitors will be taken up to the cool Machincang mountain via the cablecar system. The ride will be an exhilarating experience for everyone to enjoy. You will also be able to catch a glimpse of the flora and fauna that surrounds the area.

An intermediate cablecar station on the eastern ridges provides the much desired access to the eastern cliffs with its 3 vertical chimneys and the beautiful 360-degree views. For the first time, visitors would be able to observe at close range the unique geological formations of the Machincang range, which was formed around 450 million years ago.

The journey from the Base Station to Middle Station will cover 1,700 meters in distance and upon reaching the Middle Station at an elevation of 650m above sea level, visitors will be able to alight and walk up to the viewing platforms. Visitors will enjoy panoramic view of the main island as well as the many surrounding islands. They will also be able to observe at close range the unique flora on the ridges and the forested valley between the Middle Station and the Top Station.

A short walk up the stairs from the Top Station will take visitors to the two viewing platforms at the top of Machincang mountain. Visitors will be amazed at the unfolding dramatic views from the platforms, the many unique and exciting features of Machincang, are dominating rock tower peaks providing spectacular 360 degrees panoramic views of the Langkawi islands and Southern Thailand as well as dramatic views of the deep chasms, overhangs cliff walls, isolated pinnacles and some caves. Such nature monuments are seldom seen anywhere else in this combination except in Langkawi.

The overruling height of Machincang mountain, its commanding views over Langkawi, the western sea coast, and the dramatic views over the funnel with its staggered rock blocks will make the visitors wonder in amazement and bring the visitors so close to nature that they can practically touch it.

Volkswagen Golf Mk1 Karmann Cabriolet 1988

In 1975 a sports-oriented variant of the Volkswagen Golf, called the Golf GTI was introduced in March of that year at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

The idea behind was rather straightforward - take a basic-transportation economy car and give it a high-performance package, making it practical and sporty. It was one of the first small cars to adopt mechanical fuel injection. In 2004, Sports Car International declared the Golf Mk1 GTI to be the 3rd best car of the 1980s.

The convertible version, named the Golf Cabriolet (or Typ 155) was sold from 1980 to 1993. It had a reinforced body, transverse roll bar, and a high level of trim, and kept the pre-1980 style of rear lamp clusters. The Mk1 Cabriolet is of unibody construction built entirely at the factory of Karmann, from stamping to final assembly; Volkswagen supplied the engine, suspension, interior, etc. for Karmann to install.

Suvarnabhumi Airport (Thai: ท่าอากาศยานสุวรรณภูมิ; RTGS: Suwannaphum; pronounced [sù.wān.ná.pʰūːm] (Thai pronunciation); from Sanskrit, सुवर्णभूमि, "Golden Land")

The airport is located in Racha Thewa in Bang Phli, Samut Prakan, about 25 kilometres (16 mi) east of downtown Bangkok. The name Suvarnabhumi was chosen by King Bhumibol Adulyadej and refers to the golden kingdom hypothesised to have been located somewhere in Southeast Asia.

The building was designed by Helmut Jahn of Murphy / Jahn Architects. It was constructed primarily by ITO JV. The airport has the world's tallest free-standing control tower (132.2 metres or 434 feet), and the world's fourth largest single-building airport terminal (563,000 square metres or 6,060,000 square feet).

Asiatique @ Riverside, BANGKOK

Asiatique The Riverfront is the newest Bangkok Night Market, opened in May 2012. Ever since the closure of the Lumphini night market there have been different places that tried to “fill the gap” – and this finally is it.

Asiatique The Riverfront

Actually it’s more than a typical night market – it could also be called a shopping and lifestyle complex. But the main place is a shopping area located in the old warehouses of the East Asiatic Company.

And that’s the really nice thing about it: The Riverfront is an homage to Bangkok’s past as a riverside trading post during the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century. Originally this was the pier where a lot of the teak wood trade took place, managed by Mr. Hans Nille Andersen.

Located on the grounds which formerly belonged to a Danish trading company, many of the original buildings have been retained (although they did get a “facelift”).
